Our purpose is to provide the children in the center with a firm foundation for their future academic, emotional, physical, and social growth. We provide high quality childcare in an early childhood learning environment for children aged six weeks to six years.

Embedded in the center’s philosophy is the principle that “as children play, they learn.” We base our principles on recognized authorities in early childhood learning. Our activities are designed with the emphasis on the learning process rather than a finished product. We highlight language proficiency, social interaction, increased sense of self-worth and inter-cultural appreciation while designing our curriculum.

The center has three classrooms. The Infant classroom has a lead teacher and an assistant and serves children six weeks to approximately two years. The Toddler classroom has a lead teacher and an assistant and serves children from approximately two years to three year. The Preschool classroom has a lead teacher and an assistant teacher and serves children who are toilet trained from approximately three years to six years. The Preschool also serves as an after-Kindergarten learning center for children attending local schools.

Cannon Beach Children’s Center History:
The Cannon Beach Children's Center has been a mainstay in the North Coast community for over 20 years. The organization started in the basement of a Cannon Beach church in 1975 and was called the Cannon Beach Day Care. The organization received its first articles of incorporation and was recognized as a non-profit under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) in 1977.

In 1989, the organization was established as the Cannon Beach Children's Center. The Center continues to serve the families of those who live and work in Cannon Beach and surrounding communities. As the only state certified child care center between Tillamook and Warrenton, the Center fulfills the community’s need for affordable, quality preschool and day care facilities.

Hours of Operation: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
